Terms and conditions for online tuition services provided by Donna’s Photography, Film & Art Tuition.

Booking and payment for group lessons

  1. Group lessons are booked in half term blocks usually of six lessons via my Bookwhen page and links I send to you.
  2. Lessons usually take place on the same day, at the same time, on a recurring basis.
  3. Payment is required for each block to secure a place.
  4. Payment is required in advance using the specified, secure online payment method.

Booking and payment for one-to-one lessons

  1. One-to-one lessons are booked in advance and scheduled to take place at mutually appropriate times, usually on the same day and at the same time on a recurring basis for a specified length of time.
  2. Payment for one-to-one lessons is required in advance through a specified, secure online payment method.
  3. One-to-one lessons can be rescheduled by emailing me: donna@donnasphotographyandfilm.com.

Refunds

  1. For group lessons, tickets for half-term blocks are non-refundable. 
  2. For one-to-one lessons, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the lesson in order to be eligible for a refund.
  3. For weekly group lessons, if a child misses a lesson then catch-up emails with home learning and recordings, where appropriate, are available.

Lesson cancellation

  1. In exceptional circumstances, I may need to cancel or reschedule lessons.
  2. I will try to give as much notice as possible of cancellation and will offer a refund of the lesson if I cancel with less than 24 hours notice.

Disclosure and barring service (DBS)

  1. I am a verified tutor with The Tutors’ Association (TTA), and have been independently checked for a valid Enhanced DBS certificate, provided professional references, and agreed to abide by TTA’s Code of Practice.

Academic standards

  1. All student work must be completed by the students themselves.
  2. I offer support and guidance as your tutor.

Privacy and security

  1. Students must not share login details or online classroom links with others.
  2. Similarly, pre-recorded lessons are for catch-up purposes only and must not be shared with other students or parents.
  3. Students cannot record our lessons themselves unless they have prior permission from me.

Student conduct

  1. Children are expected to be appropriately dressed for lessons (e.g. no swim wear or pyjamas).
  2. The shared typing chat feature in live zoom is expected to be on the topic of the lesson. 
  3. On zoom children can’t privately type, I have disabled this feature on zoom for safeguarding.
  4. If children would like to swap contact details with one another, this must be requested from me and I will obtain consent from the relevant parents before any contact details are shared.

Ownership of content

  1. All lesson materials, recordings, and written content are the intellectual property of Donna’s Photography, Film & Art Tuition, and are protected under UK copyright law.
  2. No part of this content may be copied, shared, sold, or reproduced without prior written permission.
