Bronze Arts Award: pre-recorded
Bronze Arts Award: pre-recorded

Recent reviews
The Arts Award pre-recorded lessons guide your child making their own photography sequence and also their own short films including drama, documentary and animation.
The lessons would encompass photography, film making and editing.
As part of the Bronze Arts Award children are guided step-by-step to:
- Share their art skills by making a tutorial video.
- Make a photography sequence and create short film where they learn the building blocks of story and filming and editing sequences.
- Make a short documentary about an artist in film who they admire.
- Review an arts event (eg – a film, a gig, an exhibition, a music video).
How long would it take?
The Bronze Arts Award is sent to you a block at a time, there are three blocks and each block has six or seven lessons in it. So if your child did a lesson a week then the Bronze Arts award could take your child three half terms or longer depending on how long it takes your child to complete each lesson. There is no time limit taken to complete each block so your child can take as much time as they want to complete each block.
You pay for and work through the course a block at a time and move on once one each block has completed by your child.
How do you send me your work and receive feedback?
Each lesson has a recording by me and some work to complete and add to a portfolio at each stage. You send me your work in a combination of emailing it to me and also adding work to your online Googleslides portfolio.
How much will it be?
It will cost a total of ÂŁ210, paid for in three blocks costing ÂŁ70 each. You pay the course a block at a time once each block has been completed and your child is ready to move onto the next block.
If you would like to book onto the first block then here is the payment and booking link:

How old can the young person be to participate?
11 to 25 years old. This is the age guidance given by Arts Award. 11 years old is the youngest age I can accept.
What equipment will my child want?
For the online lessons I would like you to have a laptop with a camera and a microphone so we can communicate on Zoom. During the online lessons I will ask your child to talk to me and show me their work as we go along.
To take your creative photographs you can use your phone or a camera with manual settings.
To make films I recommend using a phone or an iPad both to record footage and to edit. You can download an app like Capcut to edit your film.
How is Bronze Arts Award assessed?
Throughout the course your young person will create an online portfolio of work and evidence which will be assessed and moderated by Trinity College London. I will provide you with the template for this Googleldies portfolio. The portfolio will be on Googleslides and will include the photos and short films and learning reflections that your child has created. Your child’s learning reflections can be written using the templates that i provide on your Googleslides portfolio.
Answers can also be recorded on video or sound if preferred to writing.
The outcome is a pass or fail – there are no grades.
What is the qualification?
A Bronze Arts Award is a Level One Qualification (Trinity College London Level 1 Award In The Arts) which is worth six credits.
What’s next after Bronze?
After the Bronze Arts Award you could go onto a Silver Arts Award which is a Level Two Qualification (Trinity College London Level 2 Award In The Arts) which is worth 10 credits. This is the equivalent to a GCSE. If your child is using this for college admission then check with college admissions individually if they accept this qualification towards your child’s chosen course. Currently I offer Silver Arts Award in live online lessons over a year.
